pimp my ride

Couple of days ago, i copied some movies from my friends PC after i did some troubleshooting his troublesome PC(hatud karon ala pa naayo). i suddenly seen this title, "pimp my ride" on of my favorite MTV shows. each episode they feature one car to be customized. everytime i watch each episodes i feel like hoping that i could have a car like that someday.

Pimp My Ride is a TV show produced by MTV. Each episode consists of taking one car in poor condition and restoring it, as well as customizing it. The original American version is hosted by rapper Xzibit. Recently, MTV2 has begun airing episodes from Pimp My Ride UK hosted by DJ Tim Westwood, which features cars being customised in the UK, and Pimp My Ride International, featuring cars in central Europe, hosted by hip hop artists Fat joe and Lil' jon as well as the related CMT series Trick my Truck. This year, Pimp My Ride will be produced in Brazil.

Last night, after attending a mass, i went to my boarding house without anything in mind what to do that night.after brushed teeth and washed my face, i opened my pc watch wondering what stuff i can do.suddenly when i remember that i borrowed some DVD’s from my friend. the movie i borrowed was entitled "300".

If you are up to romantic comedies, and Broadway musicals you will hate this movie. It is a movie about the brave 300 Spartan which led by King Leonidas against the so called God King Xerxes who leads the Persian Empire. Leonidas is a real hero, exaggerated perfectly as all historic and religious events always are. I cheered Gerard Butler's portrayal on King Leonidas but I'm also cheering the real Leonidas and the 300. This lends a significance to the movie that most other films can't claim.

This movie can also be found in the pages of history and named as the Battle of Thermopylae. Interms of the technicality of the film, it really emphasizes the brutal war between Spartan and Persian by showing exaggerating blood splatting effects and slow motion moves. Zach Snyder and Frank Miller have most successfully melded two mediums, comic books/illustration and film. This film is an evolution in the notion of what a film can be-an illustrators vision made 3D and contained in an almost 2 hour film. With a compelling and historically relevant story! Simply amazing. An evolution in art. See it for yourself.
